Looks as though a major shopping center operator are about to bust.
And remember that most of their troubles pre-date the coronavirus epidemic.
The recent plague induced downturn is probably not reflected in the figures, which will only get worse.

Sad for the employees but not exactly a vital business.

BrightHouse now bust.

I always felt that they were rather dodgy, not QUITE as bad as payday loans, but perhaps rather similar.
So no great loss.

Carluccios also bust.
I suspect that many more similar firms will fail. Even when they are allowed to re-open, some customers will lack the money to eat out, and others may be nervous regarding lingering infection risks.

It is being reported in Australia that the airline Virgin Australia is declaring voluntary administration as a result of it not being able to run flights anymore. I don't suppose it will be of too much interest to people in the UK. I had only one flight on this airline and I think it managed to turn a three hour trip to New Zealand into a fifteen hour ordeal.
I believe that the bearded Neckar Island dwelling individual (who professes that he is living there just for the weather not to save income tax in any way) has no association with this airline anymore.

As a Hertz Gold Card* holder I can tell you that I am beyond inconsolable about this. How will I ever rent a vehicle again? Oh woe is me.raspberry-blower wrote:Indy: Hertz filing for bankruptcy

Specialist Leisure Group collapses into administration:

Shearings probably won't mean much to folks south of Watford Gap...
Basically, coach holidays for the over 50s - cheap and popular, but I suspect not highly profitable...
Might have come back into it's own with the restrictions on flights ?
