Global sales of SEX TOYS have drastically boosted in sales due to the coronavirus pandemic

Well at least some people are making lemonade out of these lemons.

Aw, be kind. RGR may be a pain ... but he is a highly qualified pain.

Hungary and Georgia the latest two countries to announce the closure of their international borders. The whole world is going into lockdown. Each country is going to have to deal with this problem their own way.

And in what way is our government dealing with this ?
Carrying on very largely as normal, whilst most other countries are closing borders, restricting travel, prohibiting large gatherings, and closing non essential shops and public buildings.

The people have decided - a lock-down is happening anyway.

I hope the govt pay for this later, rather than claiming that their 'do nothing' measures worked.

That will leave a lot of people with half finished dental treatments and at least two very expensive dental clinics in Hungary looking for local patients to keep them going. Kreativ Dental in Budapest puts about 40 foreign patients a day through its system and the hotels which put those patients up will suffer as well. Luckily I finished my treatment before Christmas.

Is there any real risk that the ATMS close down?

I don't think so. Easy enough for the government to keep printing money, electronic or paper. The risk is inflation running out of control, but that process won't happen overnight.

Dow Jones Collapses Because New York Is Now Wuhan

Wuhan went into complete lockdown after 500 confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus Covid-19. New York City is now dangerously close to that same figure.

Over the last few years we have seen several 'bank failures' lasting for a 1-3 days when IT systems have gone wrong.

This year, we can expect the same plus bank IT departments decimated through sickness, lockdown and isolation. And the fallout from the greatest financial crisis in a generation. There is both increased risk of IT system failures and increased risk of bank failures.

Yes there's a real risk ATMs close down, but what do you want the cash for anyway? When isolated or locked down, you won't be doing much shopping.

I'd suggest keeping a bit of cash on hand and maintaining at least two completely separate bank accounts and a credit card.

If banks call in overdraughts then your account will 'stop' if you don't pay up.

I'd rather have a 99% used overdraught with the rest in cash.
