New coronavirus in/from China

What does collapse of NHS mean? Running out of gloves, aprons and masks? Hand gel and soap? That would be bad news but other countries don't seem to have. I wonder what the national stocks of PPE are like? I'm sure that doctors and nurses will show up if not unwell.. this is doing my head in waiting for the storm to hit.
France is about to go Italian ... hospitals becoming overloaded, Macron to address country.

Petition started to force UK government to act. Prosecute Johnson if he fails to do so:

It needs 5 signatures to properly go live.

What a total wimp out.Boris:
This a major health disaster.
Nothing much more to say.
Oh, please wash your hands.
Weak, weak, weak.
People will die because of this.
They took three years to sort out Brexit, so they are used to being glacially slow.
Smug, dumb. rich bastards.
Clearly the models we have created here are totally bullshit.

In all seriousness if the stress of all this is really getting to you, it might be a good idea to take a step back and stop looking at the news or listening to the radio or even following this thread for a while. I realise this is much easier said than done and some of us on here don't have much of a choice other than to be involved.leroy wrote:What does collapse of NHS mean? Shortage of isopropyl alcohol now serious.
Not that long ago I paid about £25 for 10 liters including delivery.
The going rate now seems to be about £200.
Ethanol fuel is still available for about the usual price.
Methylated spirit has increased in price, but not hugely.
