Assuming the Koreans are honest, this new outbreak data should allow us to make more accurate predictions.UndercoverElephant wrote:100 new cases in South Korea today. 204 total.

It's not in stock anywhere - web or High Street.
There was plenty of the gel in Boots the other day, only £1. As for the isopropyl alcohol, didn't check on that. Maybe neat vodka would work? Seems a waste...You can easily make your own at home with rubbing alcohol and aloe vera gel. Just mix 2/3 cup of rubbing alcohol with 1/3 cup of aloe vera gel, and voila. If you like, add a few drops of essential oil for a more pleasant fragrance.

If this is true then it explains the long incubation period and asymptomatic infections. Prevotella is a common human gut bacteria. Also implies that the virus could survive in waste water much longer than most viruses. The Wuhan coronavirus has integrated in Prevotella, which possibly causes the observed extreme virulence - as sequencing data from 2 different studies in China and Hong-Kong shows unequivocally
This is just one guy's opinion which hasn't been confirmed AFAIK.UndercoverElephant wrote:https://osf.io/ktngw/

Also if this works like MRSA it could well permanently infest hospitals by hiding in the dampness around taps and other plumbing. If this is true then it explains the long incubation period and asymptomatic infections. Even steam cleaning a ward can't kill it when that happens.

As some here know, I studied nuclear science, and I loved my classes!
It's so very reassuring to know that at nuclear power stations and other such vital nodes everywhere across the globe, all the key workers have already been isolated from their families and friends, into three separated shift teams. So we do know for certain they are safe and the lights won't go out.

Hmm ... having worked in nuclear I can't say that it would be much fun stuck on site.Mean Mr Mustard II wrote:As some here know, I studied nuclear science, and I loved my classes!

Most of the public require novelty in their news.
Coronavirus is now yesterdays news and therefore boring to the sheeple.
It will not become hugely newsworthy until a so called celebrity catches it, or until significant numbers of brits die from it.
Meanwhile gossip about the royal family, or about football is more likely to sell newspapers or TV advertising time.
