U.S. Military Could Collapse Within 20 Years Due to Climate

According to a new U.S. Army report, Americans could face a horrifically grim future from climate change involving blackouts, disease, thirst, starvation and war. The study found that the US military itself might also collapse. This could all happen over the next two decades, the report notes.

The senior US government officials who wrote the report are from several key agencies including the Army, Defense Intelligence Agency, and NASA. The study called on the Pentagon to urgently prepare for the possibility that domestic power, water, and food systems might collapse due to the impacts of climate change as we near mid-century.
Interesting reading and very much in line with Greer's thinking about the long term future.

You realise that this report was commissioned by the US military and has nothing to do with John Greer.

Go back to basics and read the article again.

Does that mean the US Military might suffer similar circumstances to those they have inflicted on countries where they have done noble things such as introducing democracy? or eliminating terrorism?

Could and will, are two entirely different things. At the rate things change in the world today any country in the world might undergo an economic collapse within twenty years but seeing how military dictatorships are predominate in the poorer countries in the world it would be more likely that we become dominated by a very strong military rather then become a country without one. And of course as soon as ours did decline some other stronger military would move in and take over. How is your Mandarin Chinese?

Wouldn’t have to speak MAndarin, and why only Mandarin? Most of them speak English, excpt perhaps the unfortunate illegal immigrants, taken in by the snake heads.

When doing business in a country with a majority language other then English speaking only English leaves you at a disadvantage. Some 900 odd million Chinese speak some form of Mandarin and it is the official language
If our milatery is allowed to decline it may become the official language of first California and then the rest of the US. for business and government. 得到它了
