I'm a veteran dumpster diver.
Mainly for useful electrical and mechanical bits and bobs though, i havent yet tried to find my dinner in one.

tesco alone by their own figures landfills 116,317 tonnes a year of food waste .
I havnt dumpster dived as much as I should I remember getting a entire skip of antique books from a local auction room that was about my best find .
I was talking to a guy from a local enviromental group and he said they visited the local skip place and they recycle practically everything from a skip

I've recycled loads of wood from skips, some for woodwork, some for burning.
