I have just received this today, and read the first chapter and the epilogue. This is a book that should be of great interest to everybody who posts regularly on this forum. It is way ahead of almost everything I've read previously, either in print or online. It is really a book about philosophy - the philosophy of the Anthropocene - or more correctly (IMO) the Anthropozoic. It is an attempt to lay the groundwork for a total rethink of the humanities in the context of an acceptance that the impact of humanity on the global system is now not just of geological significance, but of deep geological significance. Start with the assumption that what humans are doing is at least as significant as what the asteroid that wiped out the dinosaurs did, then rethink politics, economics, environmentalism and philosophy.

It is aimed primarily at a technically-advanced audience, and as a result anybody who is not schooled in philosophy may find some of the language and ideas hard to follow.
