Pelosi has prevailed as minority leader in the US house. Just shows the Dems. have not learned a thing from the election.

So. One of the Cuban royal family died recently. His brother took over as regent a few years ago.

Cuba
I see Cuba as a perfect example of authoritarianism benefiting the few. Do you disagree?

Just because someone is called a president does not mean that they are not part of what is effectively a hereditary monarchical dynasty. North Korea and Syria (the regime) are good examples of that.

Looking back at the USA it appears that one way trump is reducing lobbying activity is appointing lobbyists to government posts so they can simply do what they want.

Or the USA, with Kennedy, bush, Clinton sharing the spoils. Trump is showing his true colours by appointing goldman Sachs bankers into high positions . Here is the new boss, same as the old boss.

There obviously is an element of continuity of hierarchy within the parties, but it is not the same - much that it has similarities.

Obama, for example, was not part of that. All political systems tend to develop people who can be described as politicians and within that informal hierarchies develop as well as the formal ones.

So Castro had a yatch and believed Cuba "belonged" to him. Well we used to have a yatch, well it was a 23ft half-decker, and i think England "belongs" to me. Doesn't make me rich though, well not enough to live like a king.
