It was probably Obama telling him that he will be able to F*** All without the support of the mainstream Republican Party in Congress. He might as well give up and go home now because they will only support what big business wants and that is to retain control of government through bribery and corruption and any other way necessary.

In that case Trump will reach out to the Dems.

They are still picking at the bones of the campaign but missing the heart of the problem. One place says the Clinton Brooklyn office was arrogant and wouldn't listen to staffers at the DNC, another says Hillary got ahead of herself and spent time in Arizona that should have been spent in the blue wall states. All true enough I suppose but that wouldn't have mattered if the Democrat candidate had not been caught repeatedly in flat out lies or had not gone from being "Flat broke" to multi millionaires in eight years of speaking fees and book advances or set up a "Foundation" that is obviously a pay to play operation of bribery if not treason.
If just five percent of voters in the battleground states did not see Hillary in that glaring light Trump would have lost.
My advise to them for the next time around is to start with an honest candidate.

Yes that might happen a lot with Trump. The senate is split 51/49 so to get the votes to end a filibuster he needs to bring on 15 Democratic votes.

The sort of thing that might have happened to Trump in the oval office.

The corrupt practices begin:
The Republican president-elect dismissed New Jersey governor Chris Christie as the head of his transition team, replacing him with vice-president-elect Mike Pence. Christie’s demotion was orchestrated by Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner, The New York Times reported. Christie sent Kushner’s father to jail while serving as a federal prosecutor in 2004

There is nothing corrupt about that decision. Christy is tainted by the scandal of bridge gate where his top aids were convicted of wrong doing. And there is nothing that requires you to let bygones be bygones when it comes to actual jail time. Trump needs a team at the top that he can trust as well as being competent at their jobs. Christy fills neither requirement.
There are plenty of lower positions for those less trusted that can be supervised and controlled by the top team. As time goes on those that prove out will rise into slots others fail at.

I thought the Christie decision was probably from the bridge issue. It could be affected by other things, however.

The fact that Trump dismissed Christie is a good sign.

Of course, woodburner has his own agenda to play here...

What are you on about? I haven't got an agenda. Yours is a rather trump like statement. Ie one with no foundation in fact, but then I suppose you are, a la trump, "just sayin'".

Funny that you two off in the UK would get to crossed rapiers over Trumps policies.
Do you really fear that his policies will effect your lives that much?

Trumphobia is the irrational fear of Donald Trump and is immune to either fact nor rational argument. That's what I was referring to woodburner.

tbh I don't think Trump will make much of a difference but the main reason I preferred him was that he was far less likely to stumble into a nuclear war with Russia than Hilary "no flyzone" Clinton.

Trumps policies will affect everyone whether inside or outside the US. Some of this may be positive i.e. better relations with Russia and the rolling back of US military ambitions. For me the big negative is that he is a climate change denier and the VP who is likely to take charge when Trump gets bored also denies science.
