I had the same thought.

As for UE saying the outcome was obvious, that seems to be a trumpesque statement. There was nothing obvious about it to many, if not the majority, of people.

Other way around. Sanders can beat Trump, Clinton can't. That's what all the polls say.

Clinton is up the arse of the establishment, like somebody else I might mention. The US public is sick of establishment politicians. If Clinton wins the democratic nomination, we're looking at President Trump.

This is exactly what happened.

Yes, nicely done, LB3, Steve also. I didn't think Trump was as unlikely as Brexit but I still thought Clinton would take the day. It looks like a carbon copy of the Brexit 'miscalculation'. It shows the establishment made a massive mistake running with Clinton - many others could have beaten Trump.

A country of so many hundreds of millions of people produces a "choice" of between Trump and Clinton. Oh, and you can have a right-wing regime or a hard-right-wing regime.

"Anyone can be president", they say - an example of how the people of America lie to themselves and are lied to. A strange bunch.

We already have a plethora of multi-billionaire interests dictating national and international policies.

But let's state it for what actually it is: self-serving, powerful, wealthy elite interests acting in collusion with politicians and demonstrating utter contempt for democracy and ordinary folk.
