USA presidential elections 2016

Is there a committee in parliament or something looking at the future job situation?
Personally I can't think where future employment or self-employment will come from to serve the majority of the population.
If you don't have a job you're considered almost the lowest-of-the-low.
Employment justification: "never mind that i'm a horrible person who treats people like dirt. I've worked hard all my life..."
or "yes, I used to mug old ladies but I've got a job now. Well done me. I'm on the social ladder now".
Being employed counts for so much in society.
More and more jobs are disappearing. Yet the pressure to have one is increasing.
Can't see anything replacing these jobs. Nor an alternative like citizens income.
And government giving up its duty of care to private charities like food banks; which are increasingly already feeling the strain.
The whole is a mess.
Trump's just the start in my view.

Universal Credit operates like a citizens income except for the issue of whether or not people are supposed to work if they can.
In part government needs to respond by accepting that people are likely to work part time and that this is positive as a way forward.
However, the political system is currently responding in the main to the financial issues of 2007-9.

Bullshit. "Felt overheated" my arse. There's something wrong with her.US Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton felt unwell at a 9/11 ceremony in New York but is now better, her campaign says.
She had "felt overheated so departed to go to her daughter's apartment", the campaign said.

While we have yet to receive any confirmation from a second source - so take this report with a big grain of salt - moments ago Fox News senior correspondent Rick Leventhal, citing an anonymous law enforcement official as a source, reported that Hillary Clinton who was present at the Sept 11 ceremony in downtown Manhattan, suffered a "medical episode" when she stumbled and nearly fell after her knees buckled, and was then ushered into a van, in the process losing a shoe, as she was rushed away from ground zero in an early departure.
As Fox News reports, the Democratic presidential nominee appeared to faint on her way into her van and had to be helped by her security, the source said. She was “clearly having some type of medical episode.” Clinton's stumbled off the curb, her "knees buckled" and she lost a shoe as she was helped into a van during her "unexpected early departure," a witness told Fox News. A separate law enforcement source told Fox News that Clinton left the event because she wasn't feeling well

On a personal level, I feel sorry for Hilary, and she should withdraw from the race and get 100% better.
However, she has decided on her own free will to run for the toughest job in the world and the signs are that she isn't up for it.
Politically speaking, Dilbert is right I think, this is disastrous for Hilary Clinton, however much her campaign and the MSM will try and spin it away.
Ordinary voters, even folks who don't follow politics, will be watching the events today as it is the 15th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. See that clip/headlines on the tv will cement in their minds that Hilary isn't up to the job.
Dilbert take - Trump has de facto won the election. If you are following breaking news, Hillary Clinton abruptly left the 9-11 memorial today because she was reportedly “overheated.” Her campaign says she is fine now.
You probably wonder if the “overheated” explanation is true – and a non-issue as reported – or an indication of a larger medical condition. I’m blogging to tell you it doesn’t matter. The result is the same.
Here’s why.
If humans were rational creatures, the time and place of Clinton’s “overheating” wouldn’t matter at all. But when it comes to American psychology, there is no more powerful symbol of terrorism and fear than 9-11 . When a would-be Commander-in-Chief withers – literally – in front of our most emotional reminder of an attack on the homeland, we feel unsafe. And safety is our first priority.
Hillary Clinton just became unelectable.
The mainstream media might not interpret today’s events as a big deal. After all, it was only a little episode of overheating. And they will continue covering the play-by-play action until election day. But unless Trump actually does shoot someone on 5th Avenue, he’s running unopposed.

Peace always has been and always will be an intermittent flash of light in a dark history of warfare, violence, and destruction

Pneumonia??? In September? Does that look like a person suffering from pneumonia???

Pneumonia is a condition, which can be caused by a wide range of infections, most of which are not seasonal.

What I do suspect is that pneumonia is indicative of a weakened immune system. Most people who catch these diseases do not go on to get pneumonia but fight them off easily.

They are now showing video from cell phones (Two angles) showing that but for the aids garbing her arms she would have fallen flat on her face.
The usual spin cycle from both media camps is in full spin.

Help for Trump is coming from expected sources, or is that unexpected sources?
To become an extremist, hang around with people you agree with. Cass Sunstein
That is anti Trump spin. It's not factual news. But, then so little is these days.woodburner wrote:Help for Trump is coming from expected sources, or is that unexpected sources?
