What can we do to change the minds of decision makers and people in general to actually do something about preparing for the forthcoming economic/energy crises (the ones after this one!)?

My kids would buy those. I buy easy peel oranges and they still demand I
peel them before they will eat them...

There are some on this board who remember when getting an orange (with the peel still on, of course) in your stocking at Christmas demonstrated how special the day was and how much your parents wanted to spoil you that day.

There exists The Disabled Lobby.

They're pretty salty about these oranges being withdrawn, on the almost-reasonable grounds that if you've lost a hand, or have arthritis, oranges are all but impossible to peel.

Yes, that was my first thought too.

But they'd probably say that having to ask a mate for a favour is "demeaning". Or perhaps they've no mates.

And a lot a packaging is quite difficult to open - even for the able-handed!
