http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-29387079Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas has accused Israel of carrying out a "war of genocide" in Gaza in his speech at the UN General Assembly.
Mr Abbas said Israeli "war crimes" in Gaza should be punished, but stopped short of saying he would take the issue to the International Criminal Court.
His speech brought strong condemnation from Israel and from the US, which described it as "offensive".
Offensive? Pots and kettles methinks.

An 'interesting' possible development: part of Sinai offered to Gaza?
It is noticeable that Israel’s large-scale operations attacking Gaza – in the winter of 2008-09, 2012 and again this year – started shortly after Israel and the US, according to Asharq al-Awsat, began turning the screws on Mubarak to concede part of Sinai.

From The Gray Prince by Jack Vance
Uncomfortable quote but probably true."Except for a few special cases, title to every parcel of real property derives from an act of violence, more or less remote, and ownership is only as valid as the strength and will required to maintain it. This is the lesson of history, whether you like it or not.”

Precisely. It's rich, innit?biffvernon wrote:Go live in the desert!
Why doesn't Israel move into the middle of the desert and leave Palestine to the Palestinians?
Sad to say, the alternative that the Zionists have in store is worse.
(Before I typed the last 'e' in 'worse', the autocorrect suggested 'wars'. )

UK lawmakers vote to recognise Palestinian state
Typically, Cameron abstained from the vote, the wassock.
Did any significant UK news source report this?“That this House believes that the Government should recognise the state of Palestine alongside the state of Israel as a contribution to securing a negotiated two-state solution.”
Typically, Cameron abstained from the vote, the wassock.
