For the caring carnivore: http://www.forheavenstake.com/ (I stayed on their farm a while ago. It's rather nice.)

Re: Better Meat
If we're advertising you can buy the very best Greenham Common range reared beef from us. Our cattle live outside all year round and get fed extra hay only when the weather is bad or the fresh food supply is low. PM me for details.biffvernon wrote:For the caring carnivore: http://www.forheavenstake.com/ (I stayed on their farm a while ago. It's rather nice.)

A local chap is coming to the Orchard to ferret out (literally) the rabbits that are gnawing the tree bark. I think he sells the resulting rabbits at a pop-up market at the University campus. Sadly, I've yet to catch said market in its popped-up state.
I really wish someone'd be able to do the same for the wood-pigeons on the plots.
You have to look on the bright side: all the said animals get to be well-fed and to avoid the slow carnage of old age.
