Grim, but unfortunately not surprising.
Here is Jonathon Cook on thr Israeli mindset
Jonathon Cook wrote:This psychosis is not going to get better on its own. In fact, it’s going to get much worse. How much worse will depend entirely on the continuing inaction of western leaders.
But far more importantly, aggressors will have to live with the consequences of their acts, unable to hide behind hollow rhetoric. Because the Israelis had and have nothing with which to balance those images of bloodied, mangled little corpses in Gaza. Yes, as of today they continue to bludgeon Gaza in defiance of the UN Security Council and polite requests from John Kerry to stop. But they never cared about that. On the other hand, mass protests marches from California to Chile are taking their toll.
The Israeli army is getting more resistance online than on the ground. It’s not used to it and cannot cope.
A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools - Douglas Adams.
This is a major blow to the Israelis - it also brings into focus questions being raised about the effectiveness of its supposedly vaunted Iron Dome anti missile defence system.
Moon of Alabama wrote:With Ben Gurion closed Netanyahoo will soon have to somehow end the war he started, with U.S. support, for no sensible reason. His political position in Israel will then be very weak and even more crazy people than him will come to rule. That again will further reduce the political might of the United States and the region may then, left to itself, finally be able to find a new sustainable balance

Consequently, the police are apparently now deciding whether or not he has committed an offence under the various new terrorism acts.
******* hell.
This is getting to the point where it is counter-productive for the establishment to enforce their own draconian laws. Were he to be charged with some sort of terrorist offence for saying this, I believe the end result would be to publicise the very thing that the establishment wants kept quiet. A bit like banning "God Save the Queen" from Radio 1 in 1977.

Farce. Utterly farcical.

I replied to his tweets congratulating him.
As a lifelong pacifist, could I, were I to find myself magically transformed into a Palestinian in Gaza, be sure that I would remain a pacifist? Nope.
The way his and the other two big parties have ganged up against him does rather point to the hold that Zionism has over the minds of those in charge in the UK.
As tensions escalate between Palestinians and Israelis in the Middle East, a pair of star-crossed lovers are determined to prove love is stronger than war.
Journalist Sulome Anderson, who is half Lebanese, kisses her Jewish boyfriend in a photograph posted on Twitter and Facebook spreading the message ‘Jews and Arabs refuse to be enemies’. The kiss has been re-tweeted more than 2,000 times.
The modern-day Romeo and Juliet couple has encouraged others to post photos of their own mixed faith families on social media and stand up for peace in the war torn West Bank.
Peace always has been and always will be an intermittent flash of light in a dark history of warfare, violence, and destruction

This is not a case of "tensions escalating between Palestinians and Israelis". That term is just another way of diluting and diminishing what is really happening because it seeks to equate and equalise the motives and actions of the two parties involved. It's just yet another example of the slimy language of appeasement of the massive military machine currently bombarding a small sliver of land containing an incredibly densely populated ghettoised open prison known as Gaza.
Lets just finally call a spade a f***ing spade shall we.

Highly entertaining. They picked the wrong guy there - Israel has dozens of far more convincing slimebags than him.
PS... 'Martin van Creveld'. Hmmm. Why is even his name a bit unnerving?

At least 15 Palestinians have been killed after Israeli tanks shelled a UN-run school in Gaza, health officials have said.
Ashraf al-Qidra, a spokesperson for the Gaza Health Ministry, said that another 200 people were wounded in the attack on a compound offering shelter to those who had already fled the fighting elsewhere.
