This is getting to the point where it is counter-productive for the establishment to enforce their own draconian laws. Were he to be charged with some sort of terrorist offence for saying this, I believe the end result would be to publicise the very thing that the establishment wants kept quiet. A bit like banning "God Save the Queen" from Radio 1 in 1977.

As a lifelong pacifist, could I, were I to find myself magically transformed into a Palestinian in Gaza, be sure that I would remain a pacifist? Nope.

This is not a case of "tensions escalating between Palestinians and Israelis". That term is just another way of diluting and diminishing what is really happening because it seeks to equate and equalise the motives and actions of the two parties involved. It's just yet another example of the slimy language of appeasement of the massive military machine currently bombarding a small sliver of land containing an incredibly densely populated ghettoised open prison known as Gaza.
Lets just finally call a spade a f***ing spade shall we.

At least 15 Palestinians have been killed after Israeli tanks shelled a UN-run school in Gaza, health officials have said.
Ashraf al-Qidra, a spokesperson for the Gaza Health Ministry, said that another 200 people were wounded in the attack on a compound offering shelter to those who had already fled the fighting elsewhere.
