I'm not so sure that we've run out of things to say, more that we've said the easy stuff and now it's getting more complicated. Take for example this blog about energy in Europe:

Nope. This is why the tinfoil hatters are out to lunch. The "elites" don't think one scenario is guaranteed AT ALL.

They are hedging their bets.

How do I know this? I myself am a single degree of freedom away from the "elites" given that I serve their managers in one of the towers of mordor and I know exactly what they think because I ask questions when they are drunk.

Not really but I'm glad it worked. I was just lamenting the loss of several incisive and/or entertaining viewpoints at a time when, as Biff said, a wider perspective is needed.

Perhaps, but there are enough who don't want different points of view. The fact that some of my posts got deleted speaks to that. In any case, I'm off. I might show up again some time next year. Hopefully the world is still in good shape.

Well, I can't speak for who may or may not have deleted your posts FC. So that's another issue. However, no one here has indicated that they are not prepared to listen to another voice. The only criterion is that anyone positing a given view will not be left alone to simply make it as an assertion without providing argument and/or evidence to back that assertion up. If you have views then express them, But, don't be surprised if people ask you to justify those views with the arguments or evidence I have mentioned.

That's how rational discourse occurs FC.

One has to write something pretty outrageously outrageous to get deleted here, you know, like saying there's plenty of cheap oil.

This is just an impression I get: FC wrote several posts in quick succession on different threads but with overlapping subjects. I suspect he may not have been to quickly find one or two of them. A mod can confirm none were deleted.
