(on foot, bicycle or under sail): before it's too late.

Good idea. Let's all sail down to the antarctic, on a boat that probably consumed a fair amount of fossil fuel in it's construction. Better make sure there is a rescue ship available in case of bad (climate change generated?) weather.
Perhaps not, we'll walk to see Kilimanjaro instead, should be an easy stroll across the Sahara desert, then we can stroll up the mountain, accompanied by a few dozen porters to cope with our large party. we can bury all the days' poo, or are we going to bag it and carry it down again?
Oh bugger, just book some Easyjet flights and do it the usual way.

What an extraordinary exercise in irony! So the unrestrained ability to travel at will to these places has nothing to do with climate-change then?emordnilap wrote:(on foot, bicycle or under sail): before it's too late.
Some of them do have the makings of an interesting expedition though, if one was to use the transport methods EM specifies.

Good man, no doubt many here spotted that - but elsewhere?Tarrel wrote:What an extraordinary exercise in irony!emordnilap wrote:(on foot, bicycle or under sail): before it's too late.

Well, I was chatting to a guy on the Eastjet flight to Tenerife the other day, and he felt exactly the same way. Actually, i did post a comment alluding to the irony under the article itself. Haven't gone back to see if I've been flamed yet!
