Surely a "like" button just gets used as a lazy response. Pressing the button and not adding words (which then make the button redundant) doesn't contribute to a discussion. We have managed for years without one, has anybody noticed it's non-existence, until now?

If I saw a post with lots of likes I'd be inclined to disagree with whatever point was made.
