What can we do to change the minds of decision makers and people in general to actually do something about preparing for the forthcoming economic/energy crises (the ones after this one!)?

Vaguely rings a bell. After a while all the different infringements of our liberties blur into one. Probably what the authorities are counting on.

Unfortunately, I doubt the boss of the NCA, Mr Bristow, is this harmless cheery bloke of the same name:

The blurb here suggest that it is SOCA's replacement.

Think of a nationally based Sweeney and you'll not be too far off the mark.

Certainly 'operational' and I'd suggest routinely armed and in plain clothes.
