Christmas Northern Meet up?

Post by Eternal Sunshine »

Anyone fancy a Christmas Peak Ale meet up? I don't particularly like the season, but it would be nice to have something to look forward to. :)

If it needs to be a weekend my only weekend off in December is 22/23. Is that too close to the bedlam? And where do people fancy meeting?

I'm up for that. I live in York, so anywhere within 50 or so miles radius would be OK.

Halfway between York and Preston - I reckon that may be Keighley - however.....

I'll tell you once, and I'll tell you briefly
I don't wanna go to Keighley

Count me in (provisional, need to check the on-call schedule but IIRC not on the hook for that weekend), Todmorden is OK for me, or just about anywhere.....

....except Keighley
.... or Gatley
.... or Burnley
.... or Reddish

Why wasn't Jesus born in Keithley?

Because they couldn't find three wise men and a virgin.

Are we happy for the 22 December then? If that's too close to you-know-what we could meet in Jan?

How easy is it to get to Todmorden, and if it'd hard how about Leeds? I've not been there for years.

22nd Dec ok for me, pretty much anywhere as long as there is public transport to somewhere near home at the end of the evening! Or there's always camping I suppose ...

Camping

The Russians have a medical term for that: "Death from Vodka and Cold"

However I'm sure there are Real Ale pubs in Leeds within easy staggering distance of the station. Ditto Hebden Bridge.

I'm gonna be in the UK, relatively free from the 20th towards the end of November but although I'd love to, I just can't hold out until the meet-up. 8)

Is anyone near Nottingham -- London..... ???
