Little wonder that many are calling biofuels "deforestation diesel", the opposite of the environmentally friendly fuel that all are seeking.
I'll use that the next time someone tells me that we can grow all the fuel we need to run our cars.

There was a debate on Farming today this morning between Peter Kendall and George Monbiot on the same subject. http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio4/news/farmin ... ndex.shtml

The sad thing is that biofuel production will probably take off in poor countries that should use their agricultural land to grow food for their own people.
