Swedish authorities have traveled to other countries to conduct interrogations when needed, and the WikiLeaks founder has made clear his willingness to be questioned in London. Moreover, the Ecuadorean government made a direct offer to Sweden to allow Mr. Assange to be interviewed within Ecuador’s embassy. In both instances, the U S told Sweden to refuse.

That's better.

Of course there are still some people who have their red-topped opinions delivered daily, but not as many as you'd think.
On my other forum they aren't very sympathetic, he's been described as a narcissistic weasle on a fake crusade.

I have to say i don't like him. He's been kicking the hornet's nest really hard for some time now, and now the hornets are out. He's sailed too close to the wind for too long. I wish him luck though, god knows he's going to need it, and i hope the fairly obvious conspiracy to get him into US hands fails.

It does show that people who rock the boat need to be squeaky clean, so that any dirt that's dug up on them may be proved to be fabricated. In this case there's obviously something in the allegations, that may or may not have been hyped up or twisted, and it's an emotive issue. I know humans are far from perfect, but the ones who expose, or stand up against, the evils in the system need to be above reproach, or the good they do risks getting watered down or discredited, and TPTB get away with it.

There is something really sinister going on at the BBC.

On the front page of their news site, they have placed the story of the young boy who was raped in Manchester right next to a story on the Assange case.

What the F--k is going on?

Yeah but even Jesus Christ couldn't be described as squeaky clean. It doesn't take much for the TPTB or the media to hype something minor out of all proportion.

Look at recent media stories: the nurse who was accused of bumping off hospital patients. What about that man with the pony tail who was taken apart by the media and accused of killing his neighbour.

Hell, I have an airrifle and some army combats. I could be hyped up by the media as a 'gun nut' and a rambo wannabe!

I watched the live speech, and read the 'I' newspaper the next day. It was really obvious and I mean REALLY obvious. Almost too obvious. As if they've all been told to do this or else. And so they did, but in such an obvious way as to make people aware of how obvious it all is. Does that make sense? :)

There's an election coming up in the USA, they need a 'bad bogey' man,
It seems to me the whole world one way or another is in turmoil, East & West, Julian Assagne is a distraction along with everything else.
One day people will say to me, you were right mate.....

The government/media would find dirt on Jesus Christ, if they had to.

He's a loner who likes to play with guns and pretends to be a soldier. And he's single!

It's like that Simpson's episode with the gummy bear. You can't beat the media.

But he was pushing some sort of dodgy religion, not just exposing the dirt on his rulers!

Assange is the last thing TPTB want attention focused on.
