especially for those who moan about subsidies

What can we do to change the minds of decision makers and people in general to actually do something about preparing for the forthcoming economic/energy crises (the ones after this one!)?

Good man RC.

Imagine switching a trillion to subsidising renewables...

Mind you, a trillion is peanuts/chicken feed/small potatoes/a trifle compared to the amount of subsidy the nuclear industry has received simply to exist.

:)

Any subsidy is usually a good way for someone to line their pockets while being pretty ineffective at the stated aims.

I admit to getting a subsidy for our Solartwin.

I would have bought it anyway, some time later. 8)

The weather was cold and really windy yesterday - but we got absolutely loads of hot water from it.

Is your Solartwin a PV panel or a thermal panel? Is it multiple panels?

Apologies; I'd forgotten they'd got into the pv game recently.

It's a single thermal panel.

How much do you know about fossil fuel subsidies? Do the quiz here.
