What can we do to change the minds of decision makers and people in general to actually do something about preparing for the forthcoming economic/energy crises (the ones after this one!)?
I always assumed that the mobile phones thing was because they didn't want you sitting there having a conversation and blocking access to the pumps, holding other customers up.
'When I were a lad'... I worked as a pump attendant (remember those? - we had no canopy over the pumps) and my boss (Bob) would regularly go out and serve customers with a lit Rothmans Kingsize hanging from his bottom lip!
Bob also used to drink a whole 75cl bottle of Smirnoff every day, so I'd imaging his bloodstream was probably more flammable than petrol.
