Can you imagine how much a goat would be worth if all the worlds gold moved to Switzerland ?
Talking of moving, I took the keys to my temporary rented place in Wales today. My new neighbours are very friendly, one is from Yorkshire, one from Oxfordshire and one from Bristol.
I'm hoping to find some Welsh people there too.

I have similar thoughts here too - it's refreshing to hear an Irish accent.

Likewise in Ross-shire. The folks in the cottage on the track to our woodland are from Yorkshire, as is our local Sweep. The folks in the cottage next to them are from the New Forest (although they're never there). It's better at our cottage. The folks next door in the glass blowing studio are from Glasgow, and the lady across the street is from Edinburgh.emordnilap wrote:Catweazle wrote:I'm hoping to find some Welsh people there too.

I'm still tuning in to the accent up here. It has a touch of the Scandinavian about it. Quite different from what you hear further south, or out on the islands.
