Peak Ale - Paralytic Olympics
Apologies for the non-PC theme this time.
The next test of the human capacity for real ale will take place on Saturday 24th March in Horwich, kindly arranged by Transition Town Bolton.
We will be pushing ourselves to the limit in search of the ultimate drinking performance. Not paid for by the taxpayer unfortunately, but very happy to sell spectator tickets to anyone who wants a good laugh.

So do we have a more specific meet-up plan for this? Which venue? What time?
I'm thinking along the lines of early evening start, rather than afternoon-plus-evening-totally-irresponsible-bender. I have a diet and exercise plan to think of.... see sig
Andy - I'm guessing that there are better ways to travel between Bolton and Bury than via central Manachester, if not then get in touch
Regards Chris

To be honest I haven't yet figured out how I'm getting there/back, the bus will no doubt figure although I'm not sure of times etc.
I have left the whole day free so I can start as soon as someone fires the gun

Apparently Bolton are playing Blackburn at home, so we need to avoid trying to get to Horwich at the same time as the supporters! I still favour a mid afternoon start if possible, but you can meet us anytime Chris.
Does anyone know if the football starts at 3pm? If so, we can aim to get there just after that because they'll all be in the ground by then? I'm told they won't be going to the pubs that Boyd has suggested. I'll ask him where we should meet.
We'll be getting the train so I'll get back to you about definite arrangements.
