In other words, fúck off you little upstart.kenneal - lagger wrote:Reply from my MP to the above letterThe Government have put enormous efforts and a lot of money into the largest retro fit insulation scheme ever. I think you and I have to work within the art of the possible and for me to say that I have a constituent (however well qualified!) who thinks you are doing it all wrong and should do it differently at this stage is just not realistic. If you have suggestions that will allow Ministers to tweak the scheme, we may have something to work with but I do not see your ideas gaining credence at this stage in the process.
It would be easy for me to breezily pass on your ideas to Greg Barker but I would not be being upfront with you.

I admire your equanimity. It's just how it came across to me, possibly as it would to others. 'Breezily' indeed!kenneal - lagger wrote:There is some exasperation in his tone but I don't think he would say that to anyone, Em.

It's still at the consultation stage, Candy. The Greening Campaign are running a series of meetings to explain it and to gather comments from interested parties so that they can make representations.

Thanks Ken. I jalouse the whole thing relies on individuals taking the initiative by coming forward to get their places kitted-out. And on the energy companies to respond with money (albeit temporary, in the form of loans). Why does this fill me with the feeling that it's not going to work?
