BIG tinfoil hat ....ok...here I go...
So, the world is falling around our fiscal ears. The news is full of crap about the fall of economies, the stock market and life as we know it...
Big man says to other big man "shoot a black guy in Tottenham". Make it so.
Guy gets shot.
Riot.
No concern about economy troubles.... the media is far too busy.
Has the US also ordered a similar 'event' - probably more difficult on a scale level.... but...
Discuss and flame.

I don't think that is what happened. I think the media don't know how to deal with the overload of massive stories. There's too much happening.
How much have you heard recently about the famine in Africa or the situation in Libya, Egypt, Yemen or Syria?

Not totally beyond the realm of possibility Maudibe, though if (and it's a big if) there's anything in your hypothesis, I'd think it more likely that the riots would be instigated to get the general public onside for massive crackdowns on public disorder after TSHTF.
We can only guess.

Might have been the ones expected to resign soon anyway, after completing a revised tax return at the invitation of HMRC? Though I can't imagine such opportunistic corrupt officers ever being able to set up a protection racket on such a grand scale though, colluding with Gangsta Boyz rather than corporate scum.DominicJ wrote:Feather
Depends really
How many of the officers who could have made that call will keep their jobs?

Wouldn't need to say anything - a nod and a wink at the early stages of the disturbances, then a lot of "we told you so" to ministers in the aftermath.DominicJ wrote:Feather

High ups in the government are quite unwilling to be fall guys.....

Yes but a) it wouldn't be regarded as incompetence if it suits the agenda of the very top layers, and b) the elites have rigged the system so that today "even the Captain of the Titanic would have got a bonus for launchng the lifeboats" according to Anthony Hilton in the Standard.DominicJ wrote:Incompetance is a sackable offence is it not?
Oh god please tell me it is.
A CoP sacked for gross incompetance and negligence, rather than given a golden handshake, is likely looking at a rather less enjoyable retirement than he had planned.

Bush sent that girl to Kobe's room, Bush sent that lil' boy to Michael Jackson's house, Bush killed Lacy Peterson... Bush was fuckin' Paris Hilton in that video! All to get your mind off the war."
I've studied media and it's all very grey areas there, things often get blown up just to keep the population away from thinking about other issues. I'm not saying this is the case, just elaborating further on your point.
