Thanks to James and all the speakers @ Bedzed

I also want to tender thanks to James are all the speakers at BedZed last Saturday. I ran a report on BlueGreenEarth on Sunday night, which James has been kind enough to plug for us, hastily written though it is. Much food for thought.

As a resident in Hastings (currently), I hope to promote some PO events here, and also am up for Brighton area meets on occasion. Is anyone else here from round those parts?

It was good to meet you, tim, very briefly, as we all left ;)

Oh, and welcome to the forum!

Hi Tess,

Good to meet you too, all too briefly. Need a quiet pint type meet, rather than natter in the street type meet - do such things occur on a regular basis, and if so what's the venue?

They do happen in central London near Victoria maybe once a month. Very congenial crowd, but a bit of a trek from Hastings!

Victoria is indeed a trek from here, so I guess I'd be an irregular guest! Nonetheless, I'll make an attempt at some point, hopefully.

I think Brighton may be better placed for me - unless I get to do m MA, in which case I'll be in Lancaster (we're talking sept 2006 earliest, if not later), now that _will_ knock Victoria out of the loop!

in a transcript of Norman Church's talk, specifically the sequence of events during the 2000 "hiccup"

I'd gathered this was going to be posted on here somewhere?

Hi Donald, the full text of Norman's talk...and more...can be found by clicking here

I'm still getting the content together for a dedicated page to the event.
