Jet Stream lost its way?

Post by kenneal - lagger »

The jet stream has formed a vortex over the North Atlantic with the northerly flow over Britain.

Never seen that happen before.

Could be chilly for a while with northerlies bringing Arctic air again.

They will update the map this evening.

It is a bit unusual. The northerlies that are setting in brings us a sub'tropical airmass that has gone up the western Atlantic, over Iceland and back down so chilly but not cold like in December when we were getting true Arctic air, stuff that had been over the pole.
