But I ask the same question again. What effect is CC having on these multifarious people of my village and what are they avoiding?

Not directly weather related, but haven't they noticed birds migrating and plants flowering at different times to what they have been used to for most of their lives? Climate change isn't expected to have the same effect everywhere in the world. If you happen to live in a part that doesn't seem to be affected by it, are you saying that's a reason not to do anything, even if many are suffering in other places?

Although I have not spoken to them about it they probably have. Last ten years have seen earlier springs, the last two have been later. They were probably expecting record hot summers and got mild wet ones. I doubt very much that they think it is their fault.

I am not saying we should do nothing about climate change. I believe that digging stuff out of the ground to burn it and process it just to re dig it into landfill is a silly idea for the environment. However, what do you want people to do? Give a few concrete examples people can follow e.g. Don’t have children or if you have more than one child have ‘climate terrorist tattooed’ on your forehead, encourage everyone on the minimum wage to give up work and get an allotment. Instead of navel gazing come up with real practicable ideas that most people can follow and become engaged in.

I still don’t accept that these people have internalised climate change theory and come to the conclusion it is their fault and decided to do nothing about it.
