Having contacted the source of the radio link I posted on Sunday regarding the exercise being run by Peter Power, the original Radio 5 interview can be found here (about 1hr 4mins into Thursdays 7/7 programme)

http://www.bbc.co.uk/fivelive/programmes/drive.shtml (although this will probably be replaced with this Thursdays programme)

I have to say that Ralph's comments do worry me. As far as I am concerned al-qaida doesn't exist and there are many good articles on this subject to support my theory. The name al-quida was only given to Bin Laden and his gang in 2001 to satisfy US anti-mafia laws that require a name be applied to a group wanted for trial. Even the BBC, who is exploiting the London bombings story as much as the others news agencies, showed a series last year in which it made the very same claim. See below.

http://www.guardian.co.uk/terrorism/sto ... 04,00.html

Why am I worried about Ralph's comments? Because since 9/11, the US and British governments have been playing on our fears and those fears are designed to bring us in line with their wishes. Without support, a governments future is worthless - keep up the pretense that the government is doing all it can to save us and protect us then it will survive and can do more of what it wants to, such as invade other countries like Afghanistan and Iraq and kill millions of men, women and children for a gas pipeline and oil respectively. Ralph therefore falls into their trap, helping to feed the whole power of nightmares scenario. The BNP must be positively loving it.

OK enough said, besides, the article below says it better.

And if you're wondering what the heck this has to do with PO then I believe that this is part of the resource wars, since to move onto foreign shores, (or continue to do so since we are already in Iraq), you have to unite the public at home. Hitler showed that and even the CIA thought about it in the 60's over Cuba. - see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_Northwoods

Ralph therefore falls into their trap
I would politely object! All I am doing is quoting what I have read on
reuters and other news sites. All the original sources are of course
'unofficial' and have to be taken with a large pinch of salt. I have seen
'power of nightmares' and find it very worrying, and I am at a loss
to see what trap I am falling into. My opinion, on the evidence so
far , is that four possibly UK nationals with strong religious and family
ties to the middle east, chose to perform suicide attacks with a
symbolism that strongly suggests a retribution attack for the evil
we are performing in Iraq and elsewhere in order to gain control
of oil supplies. I feared this result long before the war and wrote to my
MP to that effect. I do not blame the Muslim community in this county
for the actions of these (almost certainly) deprived and alienated
individuals, who were prepared to sacrifice their lives for what they
saw as a 'holy crusade' (yes I know the history of the crusades).

We may not like the idea that British people could become so alienated
as to kill indescrimately, but we have bred plenty of non-religious mass
murders without trying, and this government has been doing its best
to generate preciesly this result though their foreign policy in recent
years. I am not, however, taken with a lot of the conspiracy theories
running on this thread and on other sites. I follow Occam's Razor - no
need to make the world more complicated than necessary, most
coindences are just that, and cockups are more common than conspiries.

I am rabidly atheist but I have counted Muslims, Hindus Jews Bhuddists and many
other religions amongst my personal friends over the years. I hate what
the BNP will make of this and I am appalled at the craven response of
most polititions to the news, calling Blair 'statesmanlike' and backing
calls for more 'anti terror' laws (news speak if ever I heard it).
Blair is the worst sort of war criminal and he just loves the limelight
of being 'strong' behind is wall of iron defences, seccond only to Bush's.

We should be condemning Blair for bringing this on our heads.

This is VERY early in the investigation! Suicide bombers is still just a hypothesis. It will be some weeks before anyone can make any conclusions if the charges were actually carried by people. And if it is shown that the charges were carried by people, and people with muslim faith, we still know exactly... NOTHING about what those people belived! Nothing. They might have belived that they carried Courans. Or illegal money to support a mosque. Or food for hidden refugees. If the charges were detonated by mobile phone calls, just about anything is possible.

I'm starting to find it just a little bit anoying that it seem to be so difficult to bring any of these people to a court of law and get them tried against evidence. They seem to have a nasty habit of blowing themselves up all the time and leaving no traces whatsoever of how they got the explosives, who trained and helped them or any other details which could explain just about ANYTHING. The Madrid bombings seem to have ended with "suspects" being blown up also. End of story. When thinking about it, it actually start to seem VERY annoying.

Suicide bombers is still just a hypothesis
Agreed it is almost impossible to prove the motives of the
dead, since no conclusive evidence (eg. pre-recorded video
of their intentions) have yet surfaced, but the circumstantial
evidence is stacking up. Their car was found to contain additional
explosives (true, we don't know they were driving and knew
the explosives were there) and although 3 bombs appear to
have been set off by timer, the fourth on the bus was almost
certainly set of by the bomber - he was seen apparently priming it by a
(presumably) independant witness. Their choice of movements is
suspicious - driving most of the way to London, then switching to train,
then immediately splitting up in at least 3 directions on the underground.
It could have an innocent explanation if they were duped into
carrying the bombs, but it seems unlikely.

At least 3 of the men came from an area in Leeds where there are
serious social divides between the asian and white communities, with
each accusing the other of being favoured by government money and
policy. It is an area where both the BNP and radical Isamists have
been spreading their messages, and at least five other UK Muslims
have been involved in actual or attempted suicide attacks in recent years, in Israel, Iraq, and in the air.

We do not yet know much about these individuals, but I am sure we
soon will.

People are basically the same all over the world. If they are given the
same social conditioning, they will, on average, behave in the same way.
Suicide bombers are numbered in their hundreds in Iraq and
until recently Palistine. Those are ordinary men and women no more
naturally evil than you or I. It is a sad indictment of our society that we
allow anyone to become so alienated that they are prepared to
kill indescrimately. You can have your fancy conspiracy theories about
the prime movers and convenient timings of the various events, but
the people who end up dead - even the suicide bombers, live in a
very different world.

Exactly who is running the most elaborate conspiracy theories here? And who is asking for moderation until more is known? Assuming your rather elaborate reasoning shows to be true, would you not call that just a... conspiracy!

Just a quick note - I live in Darlington and half the town centre seems to be cordoned off - everyone is saying it's a bomb scare and I heard someone saying that Leeds and Newcastle were cordoned off too. The cordoned off area appears to include the station and the post office sorting office. Anyone know anything about it?

From the news it does appear the police detectives have done a good, quick and comprehensive job and detected all 4 murderers. They are now searching for the mastermind behind it. I am afraid this is diluting the conspiracy theories by the hour.
I must admit I do have some understanding of the reasons why people are gullible to conspiracy theories, as in fact I am always open minded about the possibilities too. But it does appear on this occasion that the theories are incorrect. Do you agree? Please be aware this is a leading question and your answers will be noted! :)

Hi snow hope, Thanks for the input but I have to disagree with you.

9/11 was and remains the biggest hoax of all time. The proof surrounding the conspiracy is massive yet despite goups in America attempting to expose the fraud it will never be looked at properly by the general media and public alike. 9/11 also displayed the same swift evidence with instance names, linked ID, CCTV footage and the finger pointing at al-qaeda. Even when some of the accused (who were supposed to have died on the planes) turned up safe and well, the story and the evidence remained the same. Even when people pointed out that the twin towers could not have collapsed in the way they did - people continued to believe the official story. Even when the first pictures of the Pentagon hit showed no sign of an aircraft - people still believed the official story. Even when Bush made a mistake and claimed to have seen the first tower strike live on TV (when it was never brodcast live on TV), people still did not question the official story and so on and so on....!

This is not about conspiracists being somehow dillusioned or clutching at straws (although it will appear that way). It's about asking difficult questions and not just taking what the BBC, ITN or Guardian newspaper say at face value (They, after all, get their news in turn from only a handful of reporters working for the major news groups like Reuters).

I simply dont understand your comment here?? Do you mean the bombs were some kind of accident? I'm still a bit reluctant as to exactly WHO was behind the conspiracy though.

No, I don't think it was an accident. I think it was carried out by terrorists and I don't believe there was any Government involvement as seems to be suggested by some. I don't feel I should comment further on this matter. This is not the correct place. I will stick to PO and matters surrounding it from now on.

If there are any suspects I'm confident they'll be hunted down and executed on the spot; without due process of course.

I wish I was joking.

Maybe a little outdated.....we have people who will murder girls for supposedly robbing a drug suppliers flat. We have girls murdered by drive-by shootings. We have had the IRA murdering people in NI and the mainland UK for 30 years. We have regular gang-land murders. We have murderers of police woman while trying to stop a minor cash robbery. We have teenagers who have their heads kicked to death by groups of 10 thugs all kicking at once in a mad blind attack.

If these murderers happen to get killed by the police I do not have the slightest problem. I have seen too many innocent people murdered by the scum in our society. It is about time we stopped this scurge on decent people. But as you quite rightly point out, sometimes the police get the wrong person (the Brazilian) in which case we do have to find out where the mistakes were made and hold those people responsible.

Anyone got any reliable info on the London bombs ?

Yes, here's some that's yet to be posted in the thread.

The murderous creed that motivated the maker, the initiator and the mules for those bombs
was Wahabism,

and it was taught in the "prayer schools" in Pakistahn,

and it was introduced there with heavyweight financial backing from its homeland, in Saudi Arabia,

where it is the official creed of the ruling house.

And with regard to the timing of the bombs, when the G8 had gathered for the first time ever with high level delegations from Brazil, India & China,

just which country on the planet stood to lose the most foreign currency earnings by any negotiation of "Contraction & Convergence" ?

It seems a pretty bleak coincidence that the answer is Saudi Arabia.

regards,

Bill
