So, Do we all vote Liberal now?

What can we do to change the minds of decision makers and people in general to actually do something about preparing for the forthcoming economic/energy crises (the ones after this one!)?

Gotta agree with that assessment. Not entirely convinced by Cameron's ability to count years though...

Taken from the transcript on the BBC site (maybe a typo, but I've seen it discussed on forums before the transcript came out, so other people heard it)
I was in Plymouth recently, and a 40-year-old black
man made the point to me. He said, "I came here when I was
six, I've served in the Royal Navy for 30 years. I'm incredibly
proud of my country. But I'm so ashamed that we've had this
out-of-control system with people abusing it so badly."

Never mind the shock of Cameron actually meeting.... a black person!
I love the fact that this person joined the Navy when he was 10 years old
I had recorded the debate. He did say "thirty".

I wouldn't pay much heed to the Cameron anecdotes anyway: once he starts bending the truth, reality breaks.

I shall be voting for my present Tory MP because he works hard for his constituency, hasn't fiddled his expenses at all and because I feel I can trust him and what he says. Unlike his Liberal opponent. And I have had more than a passing acquaintance with both of them over the last 20 years.

I'm not voting for a Prime Minister or even a President.

And speaking of comedians, watch Nigel Farage and straight man Paxman wowing the audience on Newsnight (at 24mins).

My present Troy MP has made quite a thing about his not fiddling his expensive - it's even the first line of his election leaflet. What he doesn't shout about quite so loudly is his thirty years as a stockbroker whilst moonlighting as an MP. He's far too rich to bother with filling in an expenses claim. I shan't be voting for him, but he will be elected despite my efforts and become the Father of the House.

My brother (banker with RBS) said the same thing: "Clegg is dangerous."
I must admit that's not a word I would expect to be associated with the meek, mild-mannered Mr Clegg. Now his altogether drier and savvy Mr Vince Cable, on the other hand . . .

Being heartily fed up with the whole expenses/corruption (Hoon,Byers and Hewitt) subject and politics in general, I have decided to give my vote to my 17 year old daughter. This will serve the purpose of extending the franchise. The plan is we both go to the polling station and both go into the booth. She then tells me who to vote for.

Classic! It's hard to take Farage (or Garage) seriously!
