"right"

What can we do to change the minds of decision makers and people in general to actually do something about preparing for the forthcoming economic/energy crises (the ones after this one!)?

From where I stand, comments like Gordie just made are sure to inflame the situation!!! Even if I hadn't gone out before, I certainly would do so tomorrow!

What, you mean like an Englishman taking on the job because it's based in England

Sorry I forgot to count Scotland. Our family gets a bit complicated if you start counting the Scots as foreigners :D

clv101 wrote:If there's one thing that's change under the Brown government it's that everything is "right". You can?t listen to a minister talking for more than a minute these days without them saying they are doing the "right" thing, making the "right" decision etc. It's pathetic. Saying something is "right" doesn't make it so.

Anyone else noticed this?

So, he's standing by all the illegalities, lies and evil which the decision to go to war has caused? One million plus excess deaths, five million refugees,...

The conservatives didn't cover themselves in any glory, and nor with regard to the current financial crisis, or global warming or peak oil (and any of the other big decisions which are heroic leaders - who've just voted themselves a payrise - have failed miserably in). They would have done the same; they just had the good fortune not to be in power at the time,

The Iraq war was right? Tell that to the mothers of Fallujah.

I'm not for one nanosecond suggesting there was anything right about the Iraq war, but the problems for the mothers of Fallujah mostly arose some time after Bush declared that the mission was accomplished.

Oh, you mean the invasion Gordon.

Lib Dems did the job for them.
And how many extra votes did they get in 2005 for their principled stand?
