Euan Nisbet presents methane data at today's meeting at the Royal Society. The Discussion Meeting, 'Greenhouse gases in the Earth system: setting the agenda to 2030' is marking the fiftieth anniversary of Keeling's first publication of atmospheric CO2 measurements.

I'm disappointed. Now that CO2 has lost its luster as "agent of doom" they rush to methane. Not very innovative. Guess someone think that they can use previous investments made in CO2. That kind of greed is rarely successful. What is needed now is a completely new approach, like asteroid collisions or alien invasions or such, not the same old gruel re-issued under a new brand. Why not PeakOil? Naaah - no money to be made on that.

What with this and PO, everything's coming at the same time.

When I was younger I was terrified of being killed in a nuclear war. Now I think that would be by far the most merciful fate for humanity. Get it over with FFS - who wants a long drawn-out death characterised by misery, fear and despair?

My auto spell checker tries to change 'sceptic' or 'sceptical' for 'skeptic' and 'skeptical'. ****ing Americans!

What's more annoying is that it is supposedly set up as a British English dictionary.
