Localism in action

What can we do to change the minds of decision makers and people in general to actually do something about preparing for the forthcoming economic/energy crises (the ones after this one!)?

Children educated on 1/6th of the standard education budget are ready for GCSE's at 12, whereas only 8% of the 16 year olds at the state ran school they were going to be sent to pass them.

Interesting story.

Curiously enough RenewableMadrassa, which I am presently running (offering lessons in RE, Chemistry, Electronics, Nuclear Physics and piloting) although very popular with the young lads who come across from Bradford every day, has failed for some reason to attract government funding...

I think the problem is, they can't sack some of the pupils!

My wife has been a governer at a successful school with a good head. Head retired, new head appointed and school starts going down hill with the same pupils. Wife retired as governer as she didn't like the new head and had done umpteen years anyway and didn't need the hassle.

You might not be able to sack pupils but you can exclude them.
