Excellent book from excellent people.

£70 000 is a lot of money. A more modest home could be built with £2000 + land + labour.

The £70,000 figure does seem rather arbitrary!

it's all the extra bits that cost the £68,000, e.g. electric system, bathrooms, roofs, heating system (negligible).
