The Global Peak Oil Survey 2009 - your answers needed
http://peak-oil-survey-2009.questionpro.com
PowerSwitch unleashes the Global Peak Oil Survey 2009!
We are about to enter the second half of the age of oil. Many now would argue that we are at, or approaching the point of 'Peak Oil', when the world's global oil supplies will peak, and begin a terminal decline, thus probably bringing about dramatic changes to the known world in a wide range of ways. There is a modest but increasingly large number of people who are understand that this is the situation, reacting to it, and their views on this matter are very interesting.
The purpose of this survey is to gather the most detailed picture yet of the views and actions of 'Peak Oil Aware' individuals across the world, with the focus away from the technical arguments surrounding Peak Oil
This survey may ask questions of people that they hadn't yet considered
This survey is being conducted by PowerSwitch, a long-standing online Peak Oil community based in the UK.
This survey is set out to collect a mixture of qualitative and quantitative data
There are 14 areas of questions, and all you need to do is agree or disagree with a range of related statements, and then at the end of each area, if you wish, provide written comment surrounding the area in question (but this is entirely optional).
The areas are as follows:
• ABOUT YOU
• PERSONAL PREPARATION AND TRANSITION
• PEAK OIL AND CLIMATE CHANGE
• STRATEGIES FOR DEALING WITH PEAK OIL
• ENERGY & OIL
• PEAK OIL & AGRICULTURE
• GOVERNMENT AND POLITICS
• PEAK OIL AND SOCIETY
• PEAK OIL AND CONFLICT
• HEALTHCARE, EDUCATION & TRANSPORT
• COMMUNITY AND FAMILY
• PEAK OIL AWARENESS
• PSYCHOLOGICAL AND EMOTIONAL IMPACT OF PEAK OIL
• PEAK OIL & POPULATION
The time taken to complete this survey will depend to what level you provide a response and think about the questions, but allow a minimum of 15 minutes. We hope you will find it to be a very interesting 15 minutes!
This information collected will be aggregated and used to produce a report for the Peak Oil community, and anyone else interested, to read.
Where the question contains 'My Country' it refers to the country you first select, so if you select 'UK', it refers to the UK.
This survey will continue to collect data until 31 August 2009
If you have any questions about this survey please email James Howard at info@powerswitch.org.uk
Your participation in this study is completely voluntary. There are no foreseeable risks associated with this project. However, if you feel uncomfortable answering any questions, you can withdraw from the survey at any point. It is very important for us to learn your opinions.
Your survey responses will be strictly confidential and data from this research will be reported only in the aggregate. Your information will be coded and will remain confidential. If you have questions at any time about the survey or the procedures, you may contact James Howard by email at info@powerswitch.org.uk

Survey
Done!
Took a while, but also gave much opportunity for thought and response on a range of topics.
Thanks James

Done. Just a few difficulties. Am I happy with my prep? No - but only due to financial constraints. Just one or two that I couldn't answer completely truthfully due to there not being said answer to choose, otherwise a very good and thought provoking read. Thanks for taking the time to create the poll.

Done.
I tried to complete it as quickly as possible so as not to reason through the answers too much. Am a wee bit prone to overthinking these sorts of things.
Some of the wording was a little ambiguous for my liking ('personal transport' anyone?) but I understand how difficult creating these surveys can be. I made a few comments as necessary. Hopefully they won't be too embarrassing if quoted!
