Nukes on a small island

Is nuclear fission going to make a comeback and plug the gap in our energy needs? Will nuclear fusion ever become energetically viable?

Nukes on a small island

Post by RenewableCandy »

This is very like the image that springs to my mind whenever people talk about nuclear power as a goer for the UK. I realise the probability of those circles materialising is very small, but there's only one small island (well, a few but all nearby) and, as the IRA said to Maggie, you only have to be unlucky once.

What oddly pleasant, relaxing music they chose for that video!

"deathzone 40 miles across laa-di-daaa-di-daaa farms poisoned for 300 miles in all directions la-la-la-laaaa-la-di-daaa-daaaaaa..." :)

There was a punk/thrash version as well but I thought that would be a bit much :)

The music is 'Sheep May Safely Graze' by J.S. Bach.

Chances of that, huh?

Anyone remember the two-headed sheep from Steve Bell cartoons?
