Hmm ... I think we need a 'normalised' oil price now.

$130 of yesterday is probably equivalent to $70 today.

The financial pain in today's cash constrained economy to buy the oil is the same despite the numeric figure attached to that barrel.

It no longer matters.

The US has found gadzillions of millilitres of natural gas which they can supply the world with in gas or liquid form.

They even have an experimental GTC (Gas To Coal) plant in operation.

Gas to coal? That sounds interesting. How many SCF of gas does it take to make 1 tonne of coal?
