Could we have a snap GE this year after Cameron stakes his future on us staying in the EU?

I don't know how the vote will go. I am in favour of staying, because I think for all its problems, the EU at least constrains the more extreme neoliberal agenda that has been dominant in UK politics for far too long.
However, I think the popular mood is increasingly anti-EU and the MSM are divided on the issue. I think the English will see it as their equivalent of the SNP victory at the election - a protest vote with some bite for once.
With the pollsters calling the election wrong, it is difficult to get a feel of how people who will vote, will vote.
Even if Cameron resigns, there is no need and little precedent to call an election.

Whatever your views on the referendum, that alone is a reason for voting to stay in!!
