Imagine switching a trillion to subsidising renewables...

Mind you, a trillion is peanuts/chicken feed/small potatoes/a trifle compared to the amount of subsidy the nuclear industry has received simply to exist.

You mean the fossil fuels industry doesn't?

Any subsidy is usually a good way for someone to line their pockets while being pretty ineffective at the stated aims.

I admit to getting a subsidy for our Solartwin.

I would have bought it anyway, some time later.

The weather was cold and really windy yesterday - but we got absolutely loads of hot water from it.

Is your Solartwin a PV panel or a thermal panel? Is it multiple panels?

It's a single thermal panel.
