This is true. One has to wonder whether this was even the intended result, but if Corbyn is elected, then Ed Miliband has demonstrably changed the course of British political history even though he failed miserably in terms of his electoral performance.raspberry-blower wrote:Interesting article by Craig Murray: Why Jeremy Corbyn is Terrifying the London Elite
Craig Murray wrote: Ed Miliband’s lasting achievement is that he managed to put the ordinary people who marched against the Iraq War in charge of the Labour Party, not the careerist Blairite committee manipulators. The result is stunning.

Quite funny article on the news this morning about a Tory party member joining Labour for £1 ( I thought it was £3) but got booted out after he'd apparently been tweeting the fact for months.........
Labour should be thanking all these so-called 'imposters' who are joining and voting for Corbyn - if the economy turns sour he may well be our next PM should he win the leadership contest.

There's are a lot of comments on Twitter of people being emailed to say they've been excluded from the election. Many claim not to be a member of any other party so it seems social media is being trawled for 'evidence' of people holding views at odds with the Labour Party.
A very worrying state of affairs. If they do end up deleting many thousand votes (after they've been cast in many cases) on such subjective grounds of someone's 140 character tweet Labour have far bigger problems than a few years with Corbyn the helm.

This is a far bigger problem than Labour Chris. This is about the Establishment, of which Labour are but a part, doing what it has to do to ensure that a serious threat to BAU is not allowed to happen. We have seen only too clearly what happens to threats to the system. They are, when push comes to shove, crushed with naked power. I an pretty sure if, say, Greece had not capitulated, there would have been a Greek "Spring" in due course.
I do not believe it is hyperbole to say all of the above and to link it to what our own establishment are prepared to do in terms of keeping any kind of threat to the system down. Anti-democratically deleting thousands of Labour party supporters is nothing compared to what they are capable of.

Indeed, but since the election is run by The Electoral Reform Society, I can't quite see how votes can be deleted after casting. The ERS wouldn't want their reputation trashed.clv101 wrote: A very worrying state of affairs. I've cast my vote.

Yep. If it looks like the election has been rigged to prevent a Corbyn win then the Labour party is in very serious trouble indeed. It will split.clv101 wrote:There's are a lot of comments on Twitter of people being emailed to say they've been excluded from the election.
