Your questions to the Chancellor

Post by Aurora »

BBC News - 13/11/08

The Chancellor, Alistair Darling, will be our guest this Sunday, 16 November, on the Politics Show. He will be fresh, if that is the right word, off the plane from Washington where leaders of the G20 group of countries are meeting to discuss what can be done to tackle the world economic crisis.

And we want you to tell us what we should ask him.

With the credit crunch biting and the government now trying to balance big spending commitments with a shrinking pot of tax returns, what are your priorities?

Should he borrow money to deliver tax cuts in the Pre-Budget Report, due on 24 November?

Or should he steer a steady-as-she-goes course and try to keep the debt down?
