What can we do to change the minds of decision makers and people in general to actually do something about preparing for the forthcoming economic/energy crises (the ones after this one!)?
Seems the BNP has been having an in-depth "peak oil week".
It occurred to me, if they keep going like this, will BNP members be the best prepared people in the UK for any possible shortages, social unrest, etc.? Is that their masterplan - to wait for everything to begin to descend into chaos and then have a group of well-prepared people in each town or city step into the power vacuum?
Or is my imagination running away with me?
I just wish the other political parties would be as up-front about the issue as the BNP is...
I routinely check out the BNP website for "news" on Peak Oil.
I've found articles of perverse logic such as one (in the "Land and People" section) where they say it's pointless building windfarms because the increase in population more than counteracts their contribution to the grid! Their transport policy is also contradictory to their material on Peak Oil.
Seems like this stuff is a "reaction" to it being mentioned in the Daily Mail; although they do discuss the issue, they've not exactly been trailblazing it.
Well I suppose as a party they are built on a rather negative message anyway so they may find it easier to add more gloom.
I remember reading somewhere that they see peak oil as a opportunity not sure where I read that but I think it was griffin who said it .
Normal parties would find it hard to tell people about something as grim as peak oil at least until they can clearly see it happening , and its not something I can see them playing up much
just noticed this on one of the articles anyone go to this and see griffin in the audience ?
