Government to refuse to make COP pledges legally binding.

What can we do to change the minds of decision makers and people in general to actually do something about preparing for the forthcoming economic/energy crises (the ones after this one!)?

Government to refuse to make COP pledges legally binding.

Post by Ralphw2 »

A private members bill which would legally require the UK to meet climate targets promised by the UK government at the recent COP meeting, and with signed support of over 80 Labour MPs is to be killed, either by talking it out, or by a three line whip on Labour MPs to vote against it.

COP is dead.

It was already dead, even before Trump was re-elected.
We must deal with reality or it will deal with us.

Exactly. Meanwhile, China and India continue to burn fossil fuels in record amounts..... :( . What amazed me is that we had to shut wind turbines down during the recent storm and burn gas to meet the demand. I would have thought we'd have had tons of electricity over the last 48 hours from wind
