Sturgeon's husband arrested over missing money

What can we do to change the minds of decision makers and people in general to actually do something about preparing for the forthcoming economic/energy crises (the ones after this one!)?

No idea. When it costs £110k instead of £55k?

This is looking like a complete implosion of the SNP - expect Labour and the Lib Dems to pick up more than half the current SNP Westminster seats.
One outcome of this could be the Lib Dems regaining the 'third party' status in Westminster.

I think that this is the end of the SNP as a serious political force, not perhaps forever, but for some years.

Membership figures inflated.
Money missing.
Auditors resigned.
Money spent on an expensive motorhome.
Party may be insolvent.

Possibly forever, given that there is an alternative independence party already waiting to capitalise on the SNP's meltdown. Alex Salmond will be privately grinning like a cheshire cat.

Dozens of MSPs could switch to Alex Salmond's Alba as SNP splits over gender reform and police probe into its finances

Why is this being strung out over such a long period of time? The whole thing is thoroughly weird.

Scotland will be better off with a Labour government, both at Holyrood and Westminster. The problem with the SNP is that the people who run it never wanted to govern Scotland -- their primary goal was to gain independence, and, for them, actually having to run Scotland was just a tool for achieving their real goal. Having failed in that primary goal, they kind of went off the rails.

I voted for Brexit, but it does not follow that I'd want Farage and Tice running the UK.
