End of the Minimum Wage?

What can we do to change the minds of decision makers and people in general to actually do something about preparing for the forthcoming economic/energy crises (the ones after this one!)?

We can ritually behead some bankers though, and that will at least provide the public with some justice/entertainment.
And that will bring high paying jobs to the UK will it?

I think we're getting away the minimum wage here...

Fact
I worked for less than minimum wage and it was the best thing I ever did.
I know this is an old thread but I'm curious to know how you managed to live when working for less than minimum wage???!
 I'm currently on the U.K 2017 minimum wage which is £7.50 an hour, I work full time and have a take-home wage of just £14,625 a year

I don't find the idea of struggling to live at all liberating...

I'm curious as to how you found it?!

If housing costs weren't as high living on lower wages (even living on average wage isn't easy now) would be better.

However we apparently have a housing shortage, I really can't see that being the case though, at least, not to the extent we're told. IMO BTL buyers have a lot to answer for.

I don't think we really have a 'housing shortage' as such. In fact I read somewhere a while ago there's never been as much square meterage of housing per head as there is now.

The overwhelming reason for the unaffordability has been the last couple of decades increase in money supply - where else could it go but to increase housing costs?

Yes, we have had rampant (debt based) monetary inflation in this country for the last two decades. But, it has been largely centered on the one asset class and so people do not recognize it for what it is.
