London mayor seeks ban on woodstoves, coal and wet wood banned

It's probably a good idea to ban it. Even in this small Australian town in a rural area the pollution gets bad every winter. It is a coal mining area as well but it is nigh on impossible to buy coal to burn domestically.

From toady, May first 2021, the sale of wet fire wood in small volumes is prohibited.
Pre packed fire wood or small volumes tipped "loose" must be dried to IIRC 20% moisture by weight.
Larger volumes of wet wood may still be lawfully sold for the customer to dry, but instructions on drying must be supplied.
(The retail sale of housecoal is also banned from today and this is disscussed in the hydrocarbons thread
